Acceptable Use Policy
1. General Use
SouqData is designed for informational and research purposes only. The platform provides data aggregation, analytics, and governance intelligence across GCC and MENA markets. Content on the platform does not constitute financial advice, and users should independently verify all information before relying on it for investment decisions.
2. API Usage
API access is subject to the rate limits associated with your subscription tier. You must use a valid API key for all programmatic access. Do not attempt to scrape the platform beyond what the API provides. Automated access must respect rate limiting headers and back off appropriately when limits are reached.
3. Prohibited Uses
The following activities are strictly prohibited: reselling raw data obtained from the platform; building a competing product or service using our data; automated bulk downloading of data without a valid API key; circumventing tier restrictions or rate limits through any means; impersonating other users or misrepresenting your identity; using the platform to manipulate markets or engage in any illegal activity; and attempting to reverse-engineer the platform's analytics engines or proprietary scoring methodologies.
4. Data Redistribution
Derived analysis and commentary based on SouqData content is permitted with appropriate attribution. Raw data redistribution — including bulk export and republication of company profiles, financial statements, director records, or governance scores — requires an Enterprise license. If you are unsure whether your use case qualifies, please contact us before proceeding.
5. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. Do not share your API key with third parties or embed it in client-side code. If you believe your credentials have been compromised, rotate your API key immediately and contact support. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Acceptable Use Policy, with or without prior notice. In cases of severe or repeated violations, API access may be permanently revoked and no refund will be issued. We may also throttle or block requests that we determine to be abusive.
