About Credit Ratings
Credit ratings are independent assessments of a company's ability to meet its financial obligations. They are issued by recognised rating agencies and can influence borrowing costs, investor confidence, and regulatory standing.
Investment Grade
- AAA-AA Highest quality, very low credit risk
- A Upper medium grade, low credit risk
- BBB Medium grade, moderate credit risk
Speculative Grade
- BB-B Speculative, substantial credit risk
- CCC-D High risk or in default
Rating scales vary by agency. S&P and Fitch use AAA to D. Moody's uses Aaa to C. Regional agencies (RAM, TRIS) may use similar scales with country-specific context. Ratings reflect an agency's opinion and are not guarantees of creditworthiness.
This analysis is based on available data and disclosed methodology. Our models estimate outcomes using specific inputs and assumptions — the methodology is described on this page.
