Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al-Falasi
Biography
One of the UAE's young leaders, Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al-Falasi has nearly 25 years of practical experience in various sectors with government agencies at the local level in Dubai. He graduated from the Dubai Police Academy in 1994 and worked as a supervisor in the scholarship programme, providing Dubai Police with many young competencies. In 2004, he served as Director of HR Department Planning, focusing on development of HR management mechanisms and promoting technical transformation. He then served as Deputy Director of the Directorate General of HR at Dubai Police in 2007. From 2007 to 2010, the Dubai Police Regulatory Structures Committee appointed him as Vice Chairman. He moved to the non-governmental sector, working as Executive Director of Corporate Services for Nakheel Properties from 2010 to 2017. He led many innovative projects in leadership, strategic planning, and government agenda, and supervised the HR Accelerator Laboratory. Since taking over as Director General of the DGHR Department in November 2017, he has chaired the Dubai Future Council on Talent and undertaken many projects to enhance the status of the human element in the UAE. He also serves as chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government's board of trustees. At the community level, he is vice chairman of the board of trustees of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment and a board member of Dar Al-Bar Charity.
