Biography

Mr. Alqassim is the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Endowments' and Minors' Funds Authority. He is also the Chairman of Eshraq Investments PJSC, the Chairman of Salama Insurance PJSC and a board member of Aramex PJSC. Mr. Alqassim has over 25 years of experience in the investment banking, government and commercial sectors. Mr. Alqassim has served as CEO of Healthcare, Pharma and Financial Services at ADQ from 2021 until July 2024 and prior to that as CEO of Emirates NBD Capital, where he was responsible for investment banking activities across the region. Mr. Alqassim was also previously the Managing Director and Head of Principal Investments at Waha Capital, managing over AED 6 billion of proprietary investments and overseeing private equity investments across several sectors. Prior to that, he served at the Executive Council of the Government of Dubai, Dubai Islamic Bank and Dubai Aluminium Company. He is a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Programme.
