Biography

Appointed to the Board of Directors of First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC in March 2017. Member of the Board's Management Committee and Board Audit Committee. Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), an independent institution established by the Abu Dhabi government in 1971. Brings over 30 years of experience and expertise in finance, infrastructure, and leadership. Majorly contributed to ADFD's expansion with the Fund disbursing more than AED 216 billion to 106 countries. Spearheaded the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX) in 2019 to expand the export sector. Made major strides in clean energy under his stewardship. In 2024, ADFD became the first organisation from MENA region to receive the UN Small Island Developing States Partnerships Award. Recognized as one of Forbes Middle East's Sustainability Leaders in 2024. Vice Chairman of Arab Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade (Al Masraf). Deputy Governor on the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). Board member at Emirates Development Bank, DP World, and Al Jazira Sports and Cultural Club.
