Biography

Group Chief Credit Officer at First Abu Dhabi Bank, appointed 21 May 2024. Responsible for leading the Bank's credit function and managing credit risk across all business areas. Nearly 30 years of experience in credit and risk management. Joined FAB from HSBC in London, where he was General Manager and Global Head of Wholesale Credit and Lending. Led teams responsible for capital allocation, loan portfolio management, balance sheet velocity risk transformation and model development. Worked on growing HSBC's loan distribution capabilities, implementing innovative credit frameworks and automating credit and lending decision processes. Prior to HSBC, held senior executive positions with several leading international institutions in UK and Asia Pacific region, including JP Morgan, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust.
